Community Garden

Community Garden

In 2002, the Jack Purcell Recreation Association donated $7,500, with matching funds donated by the City of Ottawa, to create an enchanting community garden. The garden was made possible by a $10,000 donation from Levinson/Viner, who selected the Jack Purcell Community Centre, to receive the donation in memory of Ron Kolbus, a city councillor. The garden was designed, so that the citizens, especially the children, of Centretown could volunteer to work in it or just relax and enjoy the outdoors. Come and visit our garden. The space is available for rentals. For more information, call 613-564-1051.
