The focus is to create your own style, learning techniques, composition and balance, using different exercises. The classes are always evolving and changing direction according to the needs of the class (positive critiques only).
Both beginners and intermediate levels are welcome.

About your instructor:

Danielle studied visual arts in Montreal and fashion design in Ottawa.  While pursuing a career as a fashion designer and milliner in Ottawa, she continued to hone her skills in both watercolour and drawing.  She teaches a range of visual arts including acrylics, collage, drawing, mixed media and courses on creativity.

Danielle originally became involved with JPRA when she joined the Board of Directors.  She decided she could offer more to the association and became an art instructor.  She has taught classes on watercolour and the basics of drawing for several years.  In the past year, she has introduced several successful full-day workshops on a variety of subjects in the visual arts.  She is a member of several cultural organizations, has several solo exhibitions to her credit, including the prestigious Canadian Society of Artists.  Her art is on display at Jack Purcell Community Centre.

Danielle received the Jack Purcell Recreation Association Staff Appreciation Award in 2017 for her dedication and commitment to delivering excellence in programming to her students.
