Volunteers to work in Rehab Walking

JPCC needs volunteers for Rehab Walking, which is an instructional program for individuals who want to walk, strengthen and stretch in a supervised and safe environment. The programs is aimed at persons with special needs such as post-stroke, COPD, Parkinsons Disease and joint replacement.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:15-3:45pm

Volunteer Description

  • Assist with set-up and take down
  • Work with individuals with their strengthening and stretching routine with supervision from the instructor
  • Work with participants in weight room on nu-step and treadmills
  • Walk with individuals in a supervised setting
  • Provide support and conversation

    Jack Purcell Community Centre will be closed on Monday May 22nd. The Centre will reopen on Tuesday May 23rd and continue regular operating hours.
